Group Fitness Classes

Have fun getting fit with others! From CrossFit and cycling to yoga, dance and aerobics, we have lots of choices for everyone!

All YMCA instructors are certified, and many of our fitness classes are included with your membership. We frequently update our schedule to offer you a variety of opportunities.

Group Fitness Passes (includes basic locker room access):

Get a fitness pass and choose from over 30 classes per week! Participate in as many classes as you like, all for a flat rate. (Fitness passes don’t apply to CrossFit, which is a separate program)

Cost per month:

  • $35 with Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payment
  • $45 Non-EFT payment
Group Fitness Class Policies:
  • YMCA members may take fitness classes FREE unless otherwise stated.
  • Youth ages 11-13 can participate in fitness classes under the supervision of a parent or guardian. For youth younger than 11 years, please see our Family Fitness Classes.

Kick it up a notch, and devote 40 minutes to a concentrated abdominal workout!





Hard Core

Come for a serious workout! This is a concentrated abdominal workout using TRX (a suspension training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight), weights, and medicine balls.




Yakima YMCA Group Fitness Jab and Abs

Jab & Abs

Get fit and think fast with a combination of cardio kickboxing and ab-sculpting! Set to upbeat music, you’ll jab, cross, hook, and uppercut with an intense core workout! This class is for all fitness levels and is a great way to fit a quick, but challenging, workout into your busy day.


  • Group cycling classes are self-paced classes for all fitness levels on stationary bikes and are led by a certified cycling instructor.
  • Classes are held on the 2nd floor.
  • Sign up at the front desk up to 1 hour prior to your class time to reserve your bike. Bring a towel and water bottle, and get ready to sweat!

Power Pedal

Get a jumpstart to your weekend and feel energized! This cycling class is a great cardio workout and will challenge your strength and endurance with interval drills to awesome music!

Rev It Up

Something for everyone! A cycling class with intervals, rolling hills, sprints, climbs, runs, surges and jumps—all to music that’s handpicked to motivate and inspire. Get your heart pumping, burn calories, and increase endurance—come on in for the ride!

Come for a complete total-body workout! This class uses a combination of Tabata cardiovascular exercises (a type of high-intensity interval training) and TRX suspension training (a suspension training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight). Challenge yourself and get fit with others!





Get fast results! This class is all about increasing strength, endurance, and muscle toning! Challenge both the muscular and cardiovascular systems with dynamic, total body movements.






HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training)

Looking to shake up your routine and add intensity? High intensity training uses short, intense bursts of activity to build strength, endurance, and to get serious results! HIIT is challenging and kicks your body’s metabolism into high gear!

Total Fitness

Get your heart pumping with a workout for the whole body! This is a cardiovascular class incorporating athletic type drills and a variety of equipment for serious toning.

Yoga Blend

We have yoga! This class is perfect for beginner to advanced participants and uses a blend of yoga styles that encourage energetic flow with postures to build strength, balance, and flexibility.

Hatha Yoga

26 yoga postures focusing on balancing strength and flexibility. Including two breathing exercises and a standing meditation practice, back bending and spine strengthening.




Power Yoga

An energetic class that will make you sweat; a full body workout. Students fluidly move from holding one pose to the next while connecting their breathing to their movements.

Active Older Adults

Active older adults group fitness


Have fun with your community and move to the music! Increase your muscle strength, improve your range of movement, and enjoy exercises designed to keep you strong and healthy. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a ball are offered for resistance. A chair is used for seated exercises or support while standing.

Healthy Body, Active Mind

Newly updated from ‘Fit Over Fifty”. Feel healthy with friends with low-impact aerobics. Get fit, and work on toning and stretching for a complete fitness routine.

CrossFit uses movements of gymnastics, weightlifting, running, rowing, and more in powerful daily workouts.
Data-driven, CrossFit uses high-intensity workouts in short amounts of time to produce dramatic gains in fitness. You’ll tackle the WOD (Workout of the Day) and have fun while working hard. CrossFit Journal: The Performance-Based Lifestyle Resource
