The 3rd party insurance programs below give you the benefits of a full membership with no monthly payment to the YMCA. The 3rd party insurance programs cover only the individual on the insurance card and do not include Nationwide privileges. Talk to your insurance provider or health program administrator to find out if you qualify for one of the following:
2024 Silver&Fit | Active&Fit: If your health is insured through Regence, Kaiser, Cigna, CalViva, Community Health, Molina, Samaritan, Asuris, WellCare or State Farm, then you may be eligible for this program.
When enrolled, you will receive a Fitness ID# from American Specialty Health (ASH Fitness). Please provide Fitness ID# to Front Staff when you start your Y membership.
**Note to Active&Fit - Make sure you are registered for the Premier membership as we are considered a Premier location under the program**
***2025 Active/Silver & Fit Insurance Membership Updates****
1. Starting Jan 1, 2025, Kaiser is switching from Silver & Fit to Renew Active. The good news is, the Yakima Family YMCA 's already accepts Renew Active membership! You'll be able to continue your membership at the Yakima Family YMCA. The only thing you will need to do is make sure we have your NEW Fitness ID# in January.
2. Starting Jan 1, 2025, our location will be accessible through Active/Silver & Fit on a Premier membership bases. If you already have membership thru this program, you will need to accept the new membership rate through the 3rd party vendor/insurance to continue the use of our facilities. If you are looking to use this membership program type, make sure you are paying for the Premier membership rate when you sign up.

Renew Active | One Pass | Aaptiv: If you're insured through UnitedHealth, AARP, Medicare/Medicaid, you may be eligible for this program. When enrolled, you will receive a Confirmation ID#. Please provide that Confirmation ID# to the Front Staff when you start your Y membership.
FitOn Health: If you're insured through Premera Blue Cross, you may be eligible for this program. When enrolled, you will receive a Member ID#. Please provide that Member ID# to the Front Staff when you start your Y membership.

Priority Registration
When registering for programs and special events, Y members receive priority status with available online registration.
On-Site Child Watch While You Exercise
We offer for a fee on-site Child Watch for kids 3 months to 6 years old. Your child will enjoy fun games, toys and interaction with friendly Y staff members. Day or monthly passes available to best fit your needs.
No Annual Contracts
We never lock you in longer than you want. You can cancel your membership with a 30-day notice with no additional fees.
Certified Staff
Our friendly Y staff members and personal trainers are skilled instructors with various accolades and training certifications, ready to assist you in reaching your health and wellness goals.
Multi-branch Access
Y membership comes with access to both Downtown and the Yakima Rotary Aquatic Center, as well as Nationwide Membership which enables you to visit any participating YMCA in the United States. This is not available for those using a 3rd party membership (insurance).
Program Discounts
Y members enjoy reduced rates on programs, including CrossFit, swim lessons and youth sports.
Towel Service
Y members enjoy the luxury of clean and fresh towels provided daily.

During your first visit to the Y, please stop at the Membership Services Desk where you will sign our waiver, take your membership photo and receive your membership key fob.
There are more than 50 FREE group exercise classes included in your membership, but there is an additional charge for on-site Child Watch, swim lessons and sports programs, as well as specialty fitness programs, such as CrossFit and personal training.
The YAKIMA FAMILY YMCA accepts the Active & Fit/Silver & Fit, FitOn and Renew Active® - health and fitness programs. Please contact your insurance company or employer HR Department to see if you qualify and for help in the enrollment process. Once you are enrolled, visit the Membership Services Desk at either of our locations to start your membership. Does not include Nationwide privileges.
As a member of the YAKIMA FAMILY YMCA, you receive free access to both the Downtown and Aquatic Center locations plus Nationwide privileges at any participating YMCA in the United States. This is not included for insurance memberships.
A 30-day written notice is required to cancel a membership. A cancellation form may be obtained at any YMCA location.
The YAKIMA FAMILY YMCA offers a variety of payment options to best fit your needs. Payment can be made monthly through bank draft/credit card draft/EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer) or pre-paid for any number of months up to a full year. Memberships paid a full 12 months in advance receive a waived joining fee and a 5% discount.
No. YMCA membership is on a flexible monthly basis.
Childcare services are available during certain times of the day for children 3 months to 6 years at our on-site Child Watch. This service is only available at the YMCA + Aquatic Center and is not currently offered at our Downtown location. Day or monthly pass options are available for purchase.
We also offer the YCREW after-school drop-in center for youth in 1st-8th grades at the YMCA + Aquatic Center location (not currently offered at our Downtown location). There is no cost, but participating youth must be members.
