Pedaling for Parkinson's

Pedaling a bicycle at a rapid pace, optimally 80-90 revolutions per minute, helps reduce symptoms of Parkinson’s Disease. Research conducted at the Cleveland Clinic showed simply pedaling a bicycle for an hour three times per week could reduce symptoms by as much as 35 percent. During the one-hour class, you will be led through a cycling routine to reach the optimal cycling speed or revolutions per minute. The Y has the equipment and trained professionals to help you achieve optimal health!

Pedaling for Parkinson's joined the YMCA to help reach as many patients as possible. The Y has the equipment, trained professionals and a mission to promote healthy living and community responsibility. Patient screening and strict adherence to safety protocols are required of participating YMCAs.
