ITTY BITTY BASKETBALL (AGES 3-6)
Itty Bitty activities are designed to introduce basic skills, concepts, and confidence to participants ages 3-6. The YMCA supports youth learning through family participation. Sports are taught to children through parent and community volunteers. Parents and guardians are encouraged to participate with their children. Practices will engage your 3–6-year-old boys & girls to the exciting world of sports.

Sessions are 5 weeks in length and run for one hour. There are two 50-minute practices each week. The first two weeks will be devoted to skill-building, and games will be introduced the final three weeks. 

The YMCA will provide all equipment needed for the program. The goals of this program are to teach children: basic skills, teamwork, hand-eye coordination, listening and social skills, and sportsmanship. At this age the YMCA promotes a positive, non-competitive environment.


Itty Bitty Basketball registration will take place October 7 - November 1, 2024

Program Session Dates: Nov 12 - Dec 12, 2024; Tuesdays & Thursdays

• 3-4 year olds: 5:30pm - 6:20pm
• 5-6 year olds: 6:30pm - 7:20PM

Picture Day: Nov 28th

LAST DAY of Session:
Thursday, December 12th @ 6pm

• Pictures will be available for pick-up
• Ice cream social for participants

We are also in need of volunteer coaches to make this program happen, so please let us know if you would like to coach your kids' team.

What to Bring?

• Athletic Attire: Comfortable clothing to run and exercise.
• Tennis shoes. Clean, non-marking shoes. No sandals.
• Water Bottle: Preferably just water or healthy sports drink.
