Update 3/26/26

We want to share an update regarding the hot water system at the YMCA & Yakima Rotary Aquatic Center.

Our facility uses a commercial hot water system similar to those found in hotels. However, due to the high volume of daily use these systems experience more wear than originally projected. Recently, the tanks that supply our hot water have begun to fail, resulting in a reduced supply of hot water during peak usage times.

To address this, the YMCA has ordered replacement tanks through a local vendor. These new tanks are expected to arrive and be installed within the next couple of weeks. During this time, hot water availability may be limited depending on demand.

We have also taken this opportunity to upgrade the system to better meet the needs of our members and guests moving forward.

We understand this inconvenience impacts your experience, and we sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to resolve the issue and improve our facility for the future.
